NOTHING BUT NET-- another watercolor

I just finished another watercolor for my Etsy store.

This one I named, "Nothing But Net." I used photos from Redfish Lake in central Idaho for reference.

Using an 11x15 format, I transfered my sketch to paper, masked out the fisherman and put in a background of mountains and sky.

I wanted to show the clear water and some of the cleanest air in the States as I put in the lake.

Next came the evergreens and their reflections.

Finally it was time to remove the masking and put in the details of the fisherman.  I made this one with Father's Day in mind.  It's available along with many more at Watercolors by Leenie.
