Like tired old tarts, rouged and lipsticked, still beautiful but can't stay up past seven o'clock' these berries look like winter can not come soon enough. It is so dark here, every year it is a complete surprise...

Which came first - the photo or the quote!! They are a perfect match. (and I'm still laughing at the daft jokes!!)
frayedattheedge: Mr.Dickens is a few years older than I. So, I would say the quote came first. ;)
But the photo was taken, and then the quote found so, maybe, it is a chicken/egg thing.
