GRUMPY

It's days like these that let you savor a bad mood. Bill Watterson-Calvin

Music is a safe kind of high. Jimi Hendrix
(He should have taken his own advice)

When in doubt sing LOUD.

Being squirrely is another way to get high on a gray day.
Just maybe not as safe.

If all else fails, pop bubble wrap.
At least it will annoy your perky neighbors.

  2. The Grumpy bird just made me chuckle. For some reason, I never imagined a bird being grumpy.

  4. It was a gray day here today too. But I saw a pileated woodpecker out in the woods. His back was towards me too. He seemed happy though and I believe he found lots of little buggies in the trees.

Sorry I deleted and reposted I had a typo; and I had to fix it :-)

  5. Gorgeous photos once again! Your blog always makes me smile. Loved the bubblewrap comment. You may as well annoy those around you if you're in a bad mood.

  6. You must be psychic- I did exactly that- went to the studio , took my shoes off and walked on bubble wrap until I felt like throwing paint on some paper.
I like the grumpy bird best and the loud one second best- fiesty bird life- suits me today...

  7. The top picture made me smile - he does look very grumpy and I recognised a kindred spirit! Less than a week back at work and already I also feel like fluffing out my feathers, tucking up my shoulders and turning my back on the whole scene. Bubble wrap is a great antidote for grumpiness though - I hope it worked. I should invest in one of those bulk-buy rolls of it right now, thank you for reminding me...
