THINK ABOUT IT

I don't know about where you live but where we are, when we go to eat
at a fast food restaurant, usually the soft drink is self serve with
no limit on refills.  They just hand you a disposable drinking glass when you pay
and you help yourself to ice and your preference of refreshing beverage from the machine.

They give you a choice on the size of drink.  Small is around $1.50.  Medium
runs around $1.80 and a large is usually a little over $2.00.

My question is:  if there are unlimited refills and you're staying there to eat,
why would you pay for a large?

  1. What you say is true !
We have a blind spot concerning sales strategy. May we share Venti(591 ml) with children at Starbucks ? (LOL)

  3. As something of an expert in all-things-soda (being a HIGHLY experienced drinker)...I pay for the large because I want to TAKE the large with me, refilled to the top, when I leave. It's a forward-thinking strategy, and I remain unrepentant. But thanks for TRYING to help me be a better person today!

  4. people think they need a large 'to-go' for in the car after they eat. i'd never make it home w/o having to stop to use a rest room! :)

  5. Also, I'd like to know the exact date that a "small" became the same size as the old "large", and the "large" became a 55 Gallon Drum.

  8. lol! We don't have the unlimited drink supply here. You buy a size and that's what you get, but I wonder how many here would buy a large here if it were unlimited refills?

  10. well...I have thought about it and my thinks told me that Rexville needs a good restaurant. You just the people for the job! DH could catch the food and you would plop it in a pan- home cooking, no soda!

  11. Oh, we need a real GOOD restaurant alright. Unfortunately the big franchises have choked them all out.

    You want fries with that?
