POPPIES. POPPIES WILL PUT THEM TO SLEEP. S-l-e-e-e-e-p.

Three years ago I brought home a small poppy plant from a local garden nursery.

Last year there were three huge blossoms on the plant.

This year I have quite a crop!

 I wonder what kind of ads I'll get on my Facebook page 
if I do a Google search for opium poppies and the manufacture of heroin.

    Oh, red poppies are just about my favourite flower - fragile, yet with that burst of red that says: Hey, here I am, do NOT mess with me.
    PS Hehehe - you are so funny with your legwarmer comment. Not a chance in hell of that happening, though! Someone else will have to copy the idea and go ahead to become a fashion billionaire. Whatever ... I am happy and content with my one pair ...

    Those are gorgeous poppies! I had some orange ones, but lost them this year (my fault!) The red ones are especially pretty!

    I love red poppies! They don't do so well around my house for some reason??
    I got the most hits ever on my blog with a post about tattoos of fairies. Seems many folks get tattoos of Tinkerbell. Wonder if Disney gets any royalties? :)
