IN THE MISTY MORNING FOG

A bicycle morning is coming your way.

So forget all your duties. Oh yeah.

Fat bottomed girls they'll be riding today
So look out for those beauties. Oh yeah.

Put on your helmet, watch out for the dog.

Ride down road in the sweet morning fog.

Ride, ride, ride it’s a bicycle morning!

(Can you name any of the three songs used for the inspiration for this mash-up?)

Simply amazing photographs of the horses/fog/pasture! Really, I think you ought to do something with it. At least put your watermark on it so someone doesn't ''borrow'' it.

  2. Carla: Thanks for your kind words of appreciation. I shot the photos with my cell phone since I don't take my Nikon biking.

The line "Fat bottomed girls" is also in the lyrics of "Bicycle Race" by Queen. as in "I want to ride my bi-si-cul, I want to ride my bike." That is the song used here.

As for watermarks. I've thought about it, but if someone wants to use my photos they will. Once it's on the internet it's there for the taking.

  3. Now can you name the song I borrowed the title from and/or the last line without looking it up?

  4. I cannot name the songs; they fell out of my head a long time ago. I'll remember them when you tell us.

Watermark those pictures. They will be borrowed; might as well say where they come from.

I can smell the sweet morning fog, and the blinding sun is exactly how it happens.

  6. The horses- So beautiful. Good job with your phone! That particular song is not one of my faves by Queen, in fact it gets stuck in between my ears - over and over and I can not shake it. Must replace with something equally as annoying- any suggestions?

  9. This time of day always seems so fresh to me, so unmarked. I really should try to get up for it more often on the days that don't require my running to the bus stop!

  10. I got both Queens. Technically, the Fat-Bottomed Girls ARE instructed to "...get on your bikes and ride." Though I'm not sure it's actual bicycles being talked about in that song.

  11. Thank you for sharing your healthful and beautiful morning.
    There is such a proverb.
"The cow that's first up, gets the first of the dew. "
I can see that's true just now.

  12. God, I am a stick in the mud. All I can think is why on earth those two women are not wearing helmets.

  14. "Hey! Hey! Hey! It's a beautiful day" immediately ran through my head...but I'm not through my first cup of joe so my instincts could be very dull right about now.

Love the shots, Leenie. There's something wonderful about fog...

  15. Thanks, everybody for playing along with my little quiz. As I said above, "Bicycle Race" NOT "Fat Bottom Girls" is the Queen song I borrowed most of the lines from. And I'm aware that most of Queen's songs have different meanings for different people--but doesn't everything.

Talon got "Bicycle Morning" by Billy Sans which isn't as well known. Then I took the title of this post from "Brown Eyed Girl" sung by Van Morrison.

  16. Great pictures! I know the Fat-Bottomed LAdies is a Queen song, but beyond that I am clueless.
