We were driving along the dirt road leading to camp when we saw a small animal, and then more small animals.
It appears while mom and dad fox were out getting groceries, the kids had gone exploring.
Four little pairs of bright eyes and four bushy tails and a whole lot of curious watched while I got out of the car for a better photo.
When I took another step closer, three of the four disappeared into the grass. One was a little bolder and more inquisitive.
But then he also slipped away.
Very cute, unless you have a hen house.
ReplyDeleteHow funny, Joeh said nearly the exact same thing I was going to!
ReplyDeleteMom and Dad fox would have to travel far to find a chicken. But there are plenty of sage hens and grouse in the neighborhood and I hope they take down the rock chuck population as well.
ReplyDeleteMy woodbadge critter is a fox, so I'm going a little crazy right now. They are so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're lovely and you go some good shots
ReplyDeleteI thought those seven baby turkeys I saw crossing the road were cute. Then I saw your foxes. They are precious! Thank goodness there are several states between us.
ReplyDeleteAren't they cute!!

So cute!! Animal babies...people babies...there's just something about them that is irresistible!(just don't let those fox babies come this way and dig holes in our fields!)
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you were to be in the area right at that time.
