detail from: Afternoon of a Moose--transparent watercolor on Arches 140cp by me
It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.
Robert Louis Stevenson
Beautiful painting. It's so serene and I can just imagine the scent of the fir trees and the movement of the water. And I really like the title of the painting, too.
ReplyDeleteI love the detail in the painting. But mostly, I love the moose that is in it.
ReplyDeleteMostly I love the woman behind the tree...the height challenged one, riding a cow...I love her best.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great little bit of poetry. I constantly find myself dreaming of going camping. I just love the feeling!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about camping a lot lately.
Oh, So True! And your painting is wonderful!
