No work on Friday so I waited until sunrise to go for a walk.
The path by the river had been cleared once,
but the snow was deep enough to record the passing of...
bunnies...
and deer.
These are probably skunk tracks. They're bigger
than domestic cat tracks with five toes and there are marks from the claws.
My tracks at the bottom. Love those snow cleats.
These are house cat tracks.
Smaller, four toes, no claw marks.
BIG dog tracks. Probably weren't left at the same time
as the cat tracks since the cat was walking at the time.
Lovely track photographs - one of the benefits of fresh snow is that we can see who has been around.
ReplyDeleteSkunk tracks- many toes- tiny and cute! No snow here- wind off the water, unpleasant sort of bone chilling cold. With your snow it is probably not a good idea to prowl or peep...your tracks are quite visible!
ReplyDelete(Dexter got a Black and DEXTER electric scritcher...)
your new poetry words require a BIG dictionary...
Super track pictures, Leenie! How clever of you to know what they were!
ReplyDeleteDo hope you had a terrific Christmas.
Really cold here.
Super photos! It's supposed to thaw here over the next few days - fingers crossed, so that we can look out on some colour ..... a lot of my photos look black and white!!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the sidebar Feedjit Live Traffic Feed, only in the snow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I showed the boys the different tracks so that we can look for them around here.
ReplyDeleteLovely peep into your world again Leenie. And I LOVE your snowman by-line.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! My daughter would love all of those animal tracks.
ReplyDeleteWow, you certainly live in a wonderland.
ReplyDeleteAnd skunk tracks...who knew? So cute!
Happy Christmas to you.
I don't miss snow much at all, but when I was younger I did love trying to figure out which critters had visited by their tracks. Beautiful pictures.
