MYSTERY NOT MASTERY

-Sunrise on the farms last July-E.B.

A person should hear a little music,
read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day
of their life, in order that worldly care may not
obliterate the sense of the beautiful
implanted in the human soul.
Johann Wolfgang Goethe

-Ogden Canyon sunset-E.B.

Feed the well of creativity with sensory experiences--
sight, sound, smell, taste, touch.  These are the
elements of magic, and magic is the
elemental stuff of art.
Think mystery not mastery.
(Julia Cameron--The Artist's Way)

  9. Well how lovely. I've been feeling quite sorry for myself today, it being March and finding myself in Minnesota with no spring in sight . . . thank you for reminding me of beauty. I had forgotten it for a moment, I'm afraid. I've re-booted.
