I've just added two new paintings to my Etsy site. You can see them and the others I have listed
by clicking on the red "Watercolors by Leenie" in the upper left column of my blog page.
"Donkey and Ducks" 8x10 original watercolor
The photos and sketches I used for "Donkey and Ducks" and "Ducks on Parade," below, came from a visit to a lush valley in Peru on the Urubamba River near Ollantaytambo. It was early morning and the low angle of the sun intensified colors and made almost everything look like a work of art.

Love the donkey...you do lovely work.
ReplyDeleteWow, those really pop! Gorgeous work, Leenie. Ducks and donkey's - what a combo. (They are so cute.)
ReplyDelete(Now excuse me while I go pass out from this heat wave we appear to be having.) :)
Fabulous, Leenie! Loving the ducks- they look like they are on a mission - a very serious slug getting mission!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful paintings, Leenie!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome Leenie. B
ReplyDeleteAnd you took those almost-works-of-art and made them real art. I love them both, Leenie. You continue to inspire.
ReplyDeleteGreat work! Watercolours are so hard to do for me - I admire your expertise and talent Leenie and love the subjects. Both paintings are delightful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Leenie. I especially love the way the donkey is lit-I can just imagine that low sun.
