Another bird photo added to my list. This one is a western meadowlark. These little guys with their yellow chests and black bibs always mean spring to me. They were common summer residents where I grew up. Their cheery, flute-like calls can really brighten the day.
Maybe I'm cheating a bit on my challenge today. Although I'm posting photos, these are some I took yesterday and then sent them through a few Photoshop filters.
A giant housing complex under construction near campus. The surface of the building is at present covered with a layer of plastic before the finishing of brick or siding. I liked how the shiny surface reflected the sun.
The same photo simplified by tweaking the contrast and sending it through the cutout filter.
Tower of a railroad crossing sign sent through a set of Photoshop black and white actions.
I've posted before about how pie is one dish I can make with confidence. The ones I've made get good reviews unless I really mess up. For links to my recipes check out the links below. If you have questions I'll try to answer them in the comments.
