The first photo- I thought Oh Leenie painted that! but then there was the nose of a car and I just knew that you wouldn't include that- what a great shot! Have you ever watercolour painted in the rain? That would be interesting- no controll whatsoever! Sound, yeah, just reading how the brain developes in babies who MUST hear sound to develop fully, then I wonder about all of the really smart folks I have known who were born deaf- they struggle with concepts sometimes ...
Beautiful post Leenie. That middle photo intruiges me - so different to our dry countryside. Luckily Tasmania and New Zealand are reasonably close.Strangely enough, the quietness that snow brings I have only experienced in the U.S. and not our Australian snowfields, visiting them off-season.

I hear ya. :) The sound of the ocean is the one I miss.
And silence of snow falling onto a soft and quiet earth.

And I love all of them!
also the crackle of a wood fire
I would add the sound of a loved one's voice .....
A soul stirring post. I really like the additional sounds left in your comments. Peace.

I've enjoyed all three of those this past week (although the wood was more of a little copse) and your post captures the beauty of it all perfectly!
