Kewl. I love and miss cattails. My dad taught my brothers the nasty trick of pulling them apart and shoving them into tailpipes. Makes a huge fluffy explosion.
The colors in the cattails with greens and yellows just take my breath away.
I was looking at your last post and I see that you do T-shirts. I'm supposed to do the design for our grade school little theater and I am in way over my head.
Cat tails look more like cigars or turds don't they. When I first saw them go to seed all fluffy I scooped them up and tried to stuff my flat sleeping bag with it...bad idea...I see an SOS from Butternut- you are just the person to help her ...you make it look easy.
Where is Leenie taking me today, I always think, when I see a post from you. Lovely photographs. I always remember my mum having several bullrushes in a dried flower display and coming home to find they had 'exploded' everywhere!

We call them bullrushes. I liked pulling them apart too but just to look at the fluffy filling. I love the velvety outside too.
