PLUM SQUIRRELLY

Before I could get to my camera he had bounced across the back yard…

…leaving a dotted line in the snow which ended at our plum tree.

In an instant he was up the tree and doing a reconnaissance scan of the area.

 One more look around…

…then he scrambled down the trunk.

While clinging to the tree with his back toenails, he shoved his head into the snow.

He knew there were plums scattered under the tree.
We’d picked buckets of them last summer.
The ones left behind had later fallen to the lawn.

 Yum! Juicy fruit!

So juicy he had to use a branch to wipe his face.

He ate it down to the pit...

 …and went back for more.

It only took him a few seconds of fishing around to find another.

He stuck in his head and pulled out a plum.

What a good boy am I!

After finishing his dessert he shot across the yard, scrambled up the fence…

 …and was outta here.

Holy cow! I can't believe what a good job you did of capturing that! You have designed a full tree with those shots at the beginning there (sooo cool!). I haven't seen a squirrel of that colouring before... I think they're awesome little critters.
Fan-tastic!

That whole thing was adorable and quite possibly better than anything currently on TV...

What a very clever little squirrel! So glad you caught him with your magic seeing picture device. The plums are probably a bit fermented by now...Happy Squirrel!
