STILL AND NOT SO STILL LIFE

Mountains are great subjects for photography.

They change with the weather and the time of day.
They hold still.  They aren't camera shy.

Trees are the same.  Changing with the seasons.

Proud to pose even when nearly naked.

Birds are something else.  Especially chickadees.
They're synonyms for flit, dart and hyperactive.

 Out of focus.  Butt shots.

This one had a meal it was working on. Pounding away
at a stubborn seed.

My shutter finger was just off of its pauses to look up.

 Nope.

 Missed again!----AAaaargh!

Yes!

Great shots! My finger is always way off...or maybe it's my camera. :)

I love the idea that chickadees are synonyms for flit, dart, and hyperactive! Great description, Leenie. And thanks for the lovely photos.

Hhehehhehee... I must take about 200 shots of birds to get a half decent one. I love the little chickadees. Stunning shots.

Chickadees are one of my favorites! We've got a bunch that roost in the pines out front and spend the mornings slitting back and forth to the feeder.

This time of year always makes me so excited. After winter, to be witness to spring? Inspiring.
