BUT CLOUDS GOT IN MY WAY

Solar eclipse through welding lens just before the clouds ate it up.
NUTS!

Beginning 6:40 p.m.

 Our paper plate pinhole camera.

Eclipse projected on the side of our house.

About 7 p.m.

Then the clouds moved in and stayed.

Oh wow, you caught it (I am glad as I missed it)! How cool. Those are great viewers, too. Kind of looks like some sort of slug invasion on the lawn there.

I've enjoyed this solar eclipse through your most excellent photographs, Leenie. About thirty years ago I was VERY BAD and peeked at a solar eclipse through scrunched up eyelids. Yes, I know. One does stupid things when one is young. (Maybe I should change that "one" to "I" because I can see from your last photograph that not all young people do such stupid things.) You know what would be funny? If you bury that last photograph and maybe in a thousand years someone digs it up. What explanations would they come up with, I wonder? Hahahaha!
