I've just added two new paintings to my Etsy site. You can see them and the others I have listed
by clicking on the red "Watercolors by Leenie" in the upper left column of my blog page.
"Donkey and Ducks" 8x10 original watercolor
The photos and sketches I used for "Donkey and Ducks" and "Ducks on Parade," below, came from a visit to a lush valley in Peru on the Urubamba River near Ollantaytambo. It was early morning and the low angle of the sun intensified colors and made almost everything look like a work of art.

Love the donkey...you do lovely work.
Wow, those really pop! Gorgeous work, Leenie. Ducks and donkey's - what a combo. (They are so cute.)
(Now excuse me while I go pass out from this heat wave we appear to be having.) :)
Fabulous, Leenie! Loving the ducks- they look like they are on a mission - a very serious slug getting mission!
Beautiful paintings, Leenie!
These are awesome Leenie. B
And you took those almost-works-of-art and made them real art. I love them both, Leenie. You continue to inspire.
Great work! Watercolours are so hard to do for me - I admire your expertise and talent Leenie and love the subjects. Both paintings are delightful.
Beautiful work Leenie. I especially love the way the donkey is lit-I can just imagine that low sun.
You do lovely work!!!

Thank you for sharing.
Leenie, you are sooooo talented! My daughter says watercolors are the hardest to master. You seem to be mastering it very well!
