A LITTLE OFF THE TOP

After DH tried to trim the hedges with his chainsaw I told him from now on it would be my job. He watched me Edward Scissor Hands the junipers with my big shears and finally took pity and bought me a Black and Decker sixteen inch hedge trimmer. Bwahahahaaaa! I hold that hummer just higher than my right boob and shave those shrubs level— chunks of branches flying everywhere.
That’s just what I did this morning. I’ve been working on a project that’s had me parked in front of my computer monitor for HOURS.
This morning was too good a day to stay inside. I shaped up the bushes, whacked the daylights out of the crimson barberry and cut back my bridal veil spirea so its neighbors could see the sun again. Now if I can just figure out a way to explain to DH why his orange electrical cord is two feet shorter--

OOPS! not only OOPS but the kitty is looking particulary terrified.

"If hedges were meant have crew cuts..." said the lazy willy nilly owner of overgrown hedges...

Oh good I'm not the only one. Now you can develop a method to prevent it happening again. *grin*

Too bad about the cord. Hope you didn't get a nasty shock.
Those electric hedge clippers look pretty cool!

Oh, I so need to borrow your B&D, Leenie. I have a few scores to settle, and let's just say that they do not involve hedge-trimming. (PS I have to say that I am very impressed by your garden - it is beautifully neat. Whereas mine, well, let's not go there ... literally and figuratively speaking.)
