PLUM JEWELRY

While I was gone to Washington State, my dear sweet hubby picked the plums from our tree, sent a bunch through the juicer and made the juice into jelly. The jars of sweetness look like jewelry.

When DH was teaching at the university he had summer breaks from work.  I didn't in my job.  With a little instruction from me, he took over the task of making jams and jellies.  He has become quite skilled at the job don't you think?

Oh yes- he catches the fishies and make the jelly- I think that maybe you should marry him again...You could wear those jars they are so pretty!

I'm interested in the method of juicing the fruit first - I cook the fruit, then put it into a 'jelly bag', for the juices to drip through, then make the jelly.

Could I hire him please, on an hourly basis?

My other half makes pickles and chutneys. But these plum jellies are definitely jewels.

Oh how I miss plum jelly! My grandmother used to make it from potawatomi plums and sometimes I still dream about that taste . . . I'd say he's a keeper!

They're gorgeous. I love the way they glow in the light. Do they taste as good as they look?
