THIRTY DAY CHALLENGE--A PHOTO A DAY--day ten
Maybe I'm cheating a bit on my challenge today. Although I'm posting photos, these are some I took yesterday and then sent them through a few Photoshop filters.
A giant housing complex under construction near campus. The surface of the building is at present covered with a layer of plastic before the finishing of brick or siding. I liked how the shiny surface reflected the sun.
The same photo simplified by tweaking the contrast and sending it through the cutout filter.
Tower of a railroad crossing sign sent through a set of Photoshop black and white actions.

THIRTY DAY CHALLENGE--A PHOTO A DAY--day nine
So, I went out to take an artsy photograph for the picture of the day and took a few. Then on my way back through the park I discovered squirrels with pizza. They trumped my artsy photo.
Oh,
dear, oh dear. My first day delivering pizza and the customer lives clear
across the park.
I’m
just glad he didn’t want one with everything.
That would be impossible to carry.
There’s
gotta be a better way to make a little dough.
Wow,
this smells so good. Hope the customer
doesn’t notice the drool.
Maybe
I’ll just chew off the drooled-on parts.
Yum, not bad.
Pizza
delivery!
About
time. You said it wouldn’t be long.
It
isn’t long. It’s a triangle. If you want a whole pizza it would be
round. Besides that’s all I could carry.
What’s
all the chew-marks on the edge? You’ve
been eating this crust!
I
just wanted to make sure it was up to our standards. It is a very delicious pizza!
I won’t
accept this! I won’t pay for it!
Wait!
I can fix it with some of this tomato paste.
What
a picky customer. I oughta give him a
pizza my mind. Yum.

THIRTY DAY CHALLENGE--A PHOTO A DAY--day eight
Presently on display at the Refrigerator Door Gallery
This original painting is by a very skilled artist named Sophie.
Note the pure qualities of color, form and space.
She turned seven last January.
This is very minimalist work titled, "Green."
The extreme simplicity of form and deliberate lack of of detailed content
reflect the personal expression of its creator.
This piece is by J.D. who had his fourth birthday in March.

THIRTY DAY CHALLENGE--A PHOTO A DAY--day six
Sunday dinner dessert. Cherry and apple pie.
I've posted before about how pie is one dish I can make with confidence. The ones I've made get good reviews unless I really mess up. For links to my recipes check out the links below. If you have questions I'll try to answer them in the comments.
